It’s been a 7 year wait but fans have finally got the chance to experience the sequel to the masterpiece of a game The Last of Us and opinions have been divisive to say the least. Critics and fans alike seem to be impressed with the gameplay, graphics and overall atmosphere of the game but the story and the fate of certain characters has many people upset. Some of the reason people give for being disappointed in the game are very valid, others…well not so much…As a huge fan of the first game I really wanted to go in depth and talk about why, although not a perfect game by any means, The Last of Us 2 is not the total shit show everyone is making it out to be.
I suppose I’ll start with the aspect of the game that most people were relatively happy with, that being the game-play, graphics and overall look and feel of the game. The graphics are top notch and a testament to the PS4’s capabilities and will only get nicer with the PS5 release of the game. The amount of small details Naughty Dog goes out of their way to include is amazing. The animations upon killing an enemy are just plain brutal and practically have you feeling the pain of it and the controls are basically the same great controls from the first game with a few updates to make things even more seamless. There are plenty of good things to be said about the game but most of the attention the game is getting is for things people don’t like about the game, so let’s get into that aspect now.
The story is where many feel the game fell short and I can certainly agree with that to some degree. The main plot point that is upsetting fans is the horribly brutal death of Joel, not only do a lot of people feel they shouldn’t have killed Joel but many also feel they didn’t have to kill him off in the way they did, many people feel they disrespected not only Joel but the fans that fell in love with him and Ellie from playing through the first game. I personally feel his death gave players a reason to play again, before that point in the game you have no clear goal, nothing really driving the story forward, I however don’t agree with how they killed Joel off, he should have gone out fighting as that was the Joel we all knew, a fighter and survivor but Naughty Dog chose to kill him off in a way that very much was disrespectful to the character. I can fully understand people being upset about this but I don’t agree that this ruined the story, not all good stories have happy endings and Joel’s fate doesn’t change the fact that this story was an emotional rollercoaster, it evoked real emotions from us, whether good or bad that is what a good story should do.
Another aspect of the story a lot of people hated was the ending, Ellie with revenge within her grasp, after everything she’s gone through and everyone she’s lost, just decides to let Abby live and walks away from it all. As much as I was looking forward to killing Abby after what she did to Joel, once you play through her part of the game and understand her side of things it’s pretty clear to see she isn’t the bad guy, sure everyone is upset she killed Joel, but if we hadn’t all played as him in the original game he would obviously have been the antagonist, it’s our attachment to Joel and Ellie that has blinded some people and made them miss the fact that this is actually an amazing story, you have two sides to the story, two people that start out motivated by revenge alone, as we play through their respective stories and watch them each lose one person after another because of their obsession with vengeance an ending where they both realize it will never stop unless they stop it makes total sense to me, they each learned that killing won’t bring anyone back and violence only begets violence. I also feel that Naughty Dog left room for another sequel, which I’m cautiously excited for already, maybe this isn’t the end to the story…and that fact gives this ending even more hope.
One other complaint people have about the game is that it’s too focused on LGBT stuff and that Naughty dog went overboard trying to make it an inclusive game, I don’t feel this is a valid complaint at all and therefor won’t be giving it much thought here, you want realism in your games? guess what? Gay people exist in the real world…get over it, there is one gay couple in the whole fucking game and if that bothers you for some reason then the problem lies with you not with the game…grow up or go play Fortnite…so in the end is it a perfect game? not in the slightest and it’s by no means as great as the original but it doesn’t deserve even a fraction of the hate that it’s getting…I’d give it a 7/10 which these days we’re lucky to get, most games that come out these days are incomplete and full of bugs, The Last of Us 2 was well worth the $60 price tag and honestly , you can’t say that about many games these days, so give it the credit it deserves at least.
While browsing Twitter this morning like I always do I came across a tweet that said “Depression isn’t a mental illness, it’s just hopelessness from the hardships of life” and it reminded me just how badly some people misunderstand what depression really is. sure there is situational depression, the bad things in our lives will of course bring us down but if those bad things end so does the situational depression, that’s not the case with clinical depression.
Caused by a chemical imbalance in our brains clinical depression can wreak havoc on anyone’s lives no matter how well that life might be going. often the people in your life can take it personally and feel like if they made you happy and you loved them then you wouldn’t be depressed and not only is that an incorrect way of thinking about it but blaming someone and guilting them for being depressed will just make it way worse for them.
when it comes to mental illness the most harmful thing you can do is make assumptions without educating yourself about it first, If depression was just about how bad or good your life was going do you think we’d see so many celebrities commit suicide? There is a certain kind of low self esteem that comes along with mental illness and that comes primarily from knowing how a lot of people judge you and view you differently once they know you’re mentally ill.
I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 disorder 25 years or so ago and can attest to the fact that the worst part about it has been the people I care about misunderstanding my illness and abandoning me because they took it personally, there is nothing more important than the people in our lives understanding what we’re going through. So please next time before you judge , stop and think to yourself that this person can’t help it anymore than a cancer patient can help feeling sick from Chemo

With 10 deaths linked to vaping and over 500 cases of lung disease it is understandable that people would be worried about the health concerns but with Vaping bans happening all across the world and especially in The United States right now are people going a little overboard with their concern?
Cigarettes kill over 1300 people a day, probably even more and we’ve known this for decades, yet no one has even tried to ban cigarettes at all, why is it that vaping has caused only a tiny fraction of the issues that cigarettes have but cigarettes get a free pass? well that’s because tobacco companies have lobbyists that pay our politicians to keep smoking legal, like the rest of the world and all it’s problems it all comes down to the money.
I have no doubts that vaping isn’t good for you, inhaling any chemical into your lungs is going to have adverse side effects but I feel very strongly that if they are going to let us as adults choose whether we kill ourselves with cigarettes then we should get the same say with vaping.
The health concerns are real but have been extremely inflated and the tobacco companies are behind that. The vaping industry is the only challenger big tobacco has ever had that has a chance of putting them right out of business and they are making sure that vaping goes away as quickly as they can, vaping may be bad for you but it isn’t even close to as bad for you as tobacco is and these bans will drive vapers right back into the arms of big tobacco.
A lot of people might think “well why don’t they just quit both vaping and smoking”, it’s an addiction and by definition is extremely hard to quit, let’s give the same sympathy and understanding to people addicted to Nicotine as we do for drug addicts, all I’m saying is please let us vape in peace.
The news every day is mostly depressing or something that will anger us and although many of these stories and injustices do need the attention their getting, sometimes it’s nice to take a break and have a good little chuckle…The hashtag is #InsteadOfNudesPleaseSend and here are some of my favorite tweets I found…
Sony announced that PlayStation 5 would be available for Pre-Order today and it kind of was…The next gen console sold out pretty much instantly but not so much because of popularity…Almost ever available console was bought up by price gougers and they have jacked the price up ridiculously in most cases.
If you do a search for PS5 on eBay you’ll find many available but they are all ranging in price from $700 – $1000, most in the upper ranges of that. This is all made even worse by the fact that the holiday season is just around the corner and Sony Typically doesn’t do a second wave of shipments for quite a while after release, so these may be the only PlayStation 5’s available for some time to come.
I’m not sure of the legalities of all of this stuff but I do know it’s morally wrong and just plain shitty to do…a lot of console owners play on console not just because they are loyal to it but because many can not afford a high end PC to play good games on but at $300 – $500 for most consoles these days it’s affordable for many…There will be many kids this Xmas that were going to get a PS5 and now will not…it’s a shame that Sony allows this to happen, they should allow a few weeks for individuals to buy before they allow bulk retail orders so that this will not happen.
There’s not a whole lot that we as gamers can do to stand up to this kind of bullshit other than just not buy the console….how nice would it feel to know one of these assholes got stuck with 5000 PS5s that they can’t get rid of…so as gamers we need to put our feet down on this one and refuse to give in to these inflated prices…fight the urge to buy them, we’ve waited years for this console we can wait a little longer…

Bloomberg reported today that Sony announced a price range and release window for the next-gen console PlayStation 5, people have been wondering if Sony would be able to compete with Microsoft in price and it’s looking like they just may.
They are releasing the console on November 12, in plenty of time for the holiday season and it will be selling for $500, although you can get yourself a digital only version for $400.
Now gamers have pretty much all the info they need to decide which console they’re going with this time around, although I’m sure PC gamers are watching and laughing at us console junkies, but hey, you love what you love and I myself have been a PlayStation guy for the past two generations…but I have love for Xbox too and if circumstances allow I’m sure I’ll get both systems at some point.

Reported by Deadline earlier today was the news that Jonathan Majors would be playing the role of Kang The Conqueror in the third Ant-man film. Majors is currently starring in the HBO series LovecraftCountry as Atticus Freeman and has starred in other great works such as Da 5 Bloods and critically acclaimed indie film The Last Black Man In San Francisco.
Kang The Conqueror is actually the perfect direction for the MCU to go in regards to villains as his whole origin revolves around time travel which is becoming a bigger and bigger part of the MCU and he’s sure to be a very interesting addition to the MCU. First appearing in comics in 1964 Kang The Conqueror or Nathaniel Richards is a time traveling super villain who is traditionally an Avengers villain. There have been many versions of Kang in the comics with a few of them even being heroes rather than villains such as Iron Lad, Immortus and Rama-Tut but there is no telling yet which version Jonathan Majors will be depicting.
In my opinion I believe they are bringing Kang in now to help introduce The Young Avengers which included one of Kangs alter egos Iron Lad, some also think that Kang may be a distant relative of Reed Richards which could possibly bring the Fantastic Four into the fold somehow.
Regardless of which direction Marvel is planning to go with the character I think they did a great job with casting here and can’t wait to see how it all turns out…Kang is an underrated villain in my opinion and I’m glad to see him getting the focus he deserves.

I’m going to start by admitting that I myself have been smoking for over 20 years now but I also want to make it clear that I am by no means pro-smoking, I would love to quit and I’m trying currently to do so. They are horrible for you and they shouldn’t exist but they do, so of course like everything the government has to stick their nose into it.
On the September 4th New Hampshire become the latest state to raise the legal age to buy tobacco products from 18 to 21, on the surface this seems like a great thing right? less young people smoking can only be a good thing…but stop and think about this for a second, you can drive a vehicle that could easily take lives when you’re only 16 years old…you can join the military and die for your country when you’re only 18…does this really make sense to you? That at 18 you’re mature enough to decide if you should risk your life for your country but you’re not mature enough to decide if you should smoke or not?
There are plenty of things going wrong in this country right now and part of the reason is that most people seem to have forgot or just never knew in the first place that the government is supposed to work for us not rule over every little aspect of our lives.If you’re a legal adult I feel you should be left to make your own decisions, as long as you’re not hurting anyone else then you should be able to do whatever you want.
Yes smoking is bad for you but so is fast food and any 12 year old can go in any fast food joint and buy whatever they want…how is it that we are allowed to make decisions like whether or not we risk our life bungee jumping or skydiving at the age of 18 but we can’t make the choice of whether we take up smoking or not? If they’re going to raise the age for smoking then they should have to raise the age to join the military as well…smoking is probably a more informed decision for most than joining the military is…most 18 year-olds have no clue what they’re getting themselves into joining the military but everyone knows smoking is addictive and bad for you by that age and no I’m not against the military in any way but I have seen through very close friends what the experiences of war can do to ruin a person.
I had a friend that had his shit together, he was that one friend in our group that everyone assumed would just be a success in life…so he’s convinced by a recruiter to join with all these false promises of helping him get a car and a house and blah blah blah…well when he was finally done with his time, he didn’t get help with anything…my intelligent and charismatic friend ended up with a drug problem and dying from an overdose and I at least partly blame his experiences overseas in the military for that…this isn’t to say the military is all bad or anything, I’m just pointing out that the decision to join is a much bigger one than if you should smoke or not.
So please if I’m missing something here and this makes sense to you please explain in the comments because it just seems so fucking stupid to me…

I guess before I get into writing this story I should probably share a few details about myself and my situation in life…I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 Disorder about 25 years ago and am still to this day struggling with that battle. A quick easy explanation of the difference between Bipolar 1 and Bipolar 2 would be that with Bipolar 1 you will experience full on manic episodes where with Bipolar 2 you may experience Hypomania but your issues lie more in your full on depressive episodes…So Bipolar 1 has more issues with Manic episodes, I do have some depression issues from time to time but my problems have always stemmed from my bad choices and nonstop battle of thoughts in my mind due to me being manic…because of my thoughts racing constantly I am unable to do a lot of things people take for granted such as drive a car because I can not stay focused long enough on one thing to do so…When I was about 22 or 23 I moved back home with my parents because I wasn’t handling my illness very well and that is where I’ve stayed to this day…So that’s where I’m at in my life right now 41 years old, can’t drive and living with my mother…it’s embarrassing to admit even knowing it isn’t my fault I’m in this boat.
You will see a lot of evidence of my illness in my writing, I may jump from subject to subject or add in things that have nothing to do with anything, when I write I don’t plan it out, it comes from my mind straight onto the keyboard and then onto the screen…this will most likely be much longer than I first expected and I’m sure it took me days to write it because there’s no way I just sit here and focus on writing for all that long.
I guess I’ll start back when I was around 17-18 years old my attendance at school suddenly became non existent, I started making really stupid choices and just not ever thinking of the consequences…it was also the age where I started feeling super awkward around people, at first it was just people I didn’t know well and it slowly over a few years turned into even feeling like a stranger around my own family…I went to a high school called Pinkerton Academy in NH and my grades were actually great, I never had an issue with school…it all came pretty naturally to me but I started to have a real issue with the socializing part of things in my senior year and instead of the school working with me and trying to help me get through my last year, the headmaster Mr .Bode called my parents and told them he thought it’d be better if I just dropped out…So that’s what I did, got a job at Wendy’s and started trying to live a normal life.
Keep in mind that I hadn’t been diagnosed with anything at this point so I had no clue why my life and my emotions were going off the rails…I just couldn’t understand why I was the way I was…it became harder and harder for me to be around people to the point where I could only tolerate it if I was drunk or high in some way and that’s where I leaned when I needed to stop feeling the way I was feeling…I was an alcoholic before I was even old enough to drink
So as I said I was trying to live a normal life, moved out of my parents house and got a place in Manchester NH with my GF at the time and a couple of my buddies and there was a short period of time where I even believed that I could pull it off, I could be a “normal” person but then the night came where I was robbed at knife point…in my own living room…that night broke me for good…shortly after that is when I moved up to northern Maine to get away from everything and try to get better and at first my GF moved up with me and things were good for a while but she didn’t understand the changes she was seeing in me…how could she? I didn’t even understand them…so she eventually left and went back home and then there I was 6 hours away from anyone I’d ever known with just my parents around but it was in that time that I was able to get properly diagnosed and start treatment to try and get better.
It might sound so easy…go to a doctor, get the meds you need and you’ll get better except with Bipolar Disorder that is the furthest thing from the truth of how it all goes down….it is a horribly difficult illness to medicate properly as it pretty much constantly changes and evolves…if you don’t need dosage increases you’ll need new different meds at some point….in 25 years the best they’ve been able to do for me is keep me from getting worse, all the problems I had in my 20s I still have today, I still can’t socialize and as you can probably tell from my writing it is still very difficult for me to focus on one thing at a time…I’m very responsible about my illness, i never miss a dose of my meds, I never miss an appointment with my doctors and yet still it is a battle I’m losing every day.
Around the age of 25 is when I met my son’s mother…oddly enough we met on Myspace and hit it off immediately…the first time I met her in person was a game changer for me…I didn’t feel awkward around her, I felt as if I’d known her my whole life, I hadn’t felt this way around someone in well over a decade…I quite literally fell in love with her at first sight…I know sounds corny but it is what it is….instead of feeling like I can’t wait to get away from people and hide out in my own space I actually missed her like crazy when she wasn’t here and looked so forward to seeing her again…We dated for 3 years or so and before I knew it she was pregnant and I was actually super excited rather than afraid or worried…this is exactly what I needed in my life, normalcy and someone who accepts me for me with no conditions put on their love…except the day my son was born something changed in her…I don’t know what happened but that day it was like a switch flipped inside her and from that day on she just always hated me with a passion…so when my son was around 9 months old I woke up in the morning to a cop standing over me telling me she was leaving me and taking my son…I still to this day do not understand what happened and it all crushed me in a way that I’ve still not come back from. I never cheated on her or abused her in any way, it’s just something I’ll never understand.
In the 10 year or so since she left me I’ve had an uphill battle with not only my illness but my self esteem…pretty much secluding myself from the entire world except for my son’s time here with me and my best friend coming up to visit once or twice a year for a weekend…besides that it’s just been me and my parents and my dad actually passed away a few years after she left me so it’s really just been me and my mom…my mom has always been my rock, the one person I can always count on and I guess that’s part of where this overwhelming feeling of dread is coming from lately…you see my mom was just recently diagnosed with Leukemia and was given about a year to live…besides all the normal reasons that kind of news will really mess someone up I also have these intense worries about my own future now that just won’t leave my mind alone.
People don’t understand mental illness typically, friends you’ve known since 5th grade will drop you like a bad habit….someone you love with every ounce of your being will leave you because you had 1 single bad manic episode in 4 years…As I said before I can’t drive, it just wouldn’t be safe and my mom has always been there to help me get around when I needed but now I’m looking at a future where I’m alone and a 6 hour drive from anyone that really cares if I live or die…I’m in a very rural area as well so getting around by foot isn’t possible…as it stands now my two choices for the future are stay put here and struggle to even get to the store for food on a regular basis or move back to NH where my sister and my close friend live and I’ll have people there for me but then I’ll live 7 hours away from my son and hardly ever get to see him…both those choices just fucking suck and I’m really in a place where I have no clue what to do…I’m just fucking lost these days.
So that’s where I’m at in my life…here helping my mom out repaying her for all her kindness throughout my life but knowing in the near future I may just be in a position that I literally can’t survive in…even in the progressive society we live in today there is so much stigma attached to mental illness and that stigma very often leaves people like me out in the cold on our own someday…I’ve come to the conclusion that no woman is going to want to stay with someone like me long term and I’ve accepted that I’ll be alone in those regards probably my whole life but man I gotta tell you…I envy happy couples when I see them together and it does make me miss those feelings sometimes.
I’m a weird person and that’s okay, I write my thoughts to a blog that hardly anyone reads…I haven’t been on a date in a decade…I only have one friend that I see pretty rarely…I guess I’m writing this to say please don’t judge people like me because we’re already judging ourselves so harshly…we’re not like this on purpose, it wasn’t a choice…please remember that in the future and show people more kindness…you’d be amazed what just one nice thing can do to change someone’s day or even life.
I know I rant a lot but hopefully this article is cohesive enough for people that do read it to get it, if even just a little bit.
With Playstation 5 just around the corner the offerings for PS4 will be less and less but for now they still have some gems coming out and I figured I’d highlight some of the ones that stand out to me…So without further delay let’s get to some of the games releasing in September 2020…like I said this won’t be every single game coming out, just the cream of the crop in my humble opinion.

Party Hard 2 (Sept. 8)
The sequel to the insanely fun stealth strategy game Party Hard 2 hits store shelves on September 8 and brings something unique to the genre.

It’s just your same ole Sims game with a bunch of Star Wars stuff added in…seems like a foolproof sales plan to combine the two but I don’t think this one will go over well with gamers in the end.
Tamarin (Sept. 10)
The new release from Chameleon Games looks to be a fun , wholesome and family friendly 3D platformer and it’s due out on September 10.

I always love when games crossover and feature characters from other games I love, the new fighting game from Merge Games Bounty Battle does just that and looks to be a solid fighter as well.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Shadows of New York (Sept. 10)
A new addition to the world of Vampire: The Masquerade comes to PS4 on September 10 and promises to bring a more personal and in depth gaming experience for fans of the series.
“Vampire: The Masquerade – Shadows of New York is a visual novel video game in development by Polish studio Draw Distance, planned for release on September 10, 2020 as a stand-alone expansion to their 2019 game Coteries of New York. It is based on the Tabletop Roleplaying game and follows Julia of the vampire clan Lasombra, who investigates the death of the Anarch movement’s local leader. Throughout the game, the player makes decisions that cause the narrative to branch”
Minoria (Sept. 10)
A beautifully designed and unique game from Bombservice Minoria is another great entry from the underrated studio.
“Minoria is the latest and most ambitious game from Bombservice, and a spiritual sequel to the Momodora series, from the same studio.Fans of Momodora will find familiar aspects in the design and gameplay elements, as they master the ins-and-outs of parries, dodges, and a variety of different spells. Spelunky 2 (Sept. 15)
The wildly popular game from Derek Yo finally gets it’s sequel on September 15 and in my opinion it’s one of the better offering for Playstation 4 this month.

Pacer (Sept. 17)
The first ever arcade racing battle royal game hits shelves on September 17 and looks like it’ll probably be a freaking blast!
“Pacer, originally titled Formula Fusion, is a futuristic arcade battle royal racing game developed by R8 Games for Windows, PS4 and Xbox One. It is set to release on September 17, 2020.A kickstarter campaign by R8 Games was successful in securing over £79,000 to begin development on the game which was released as an early access version through Steam in August 2015. The game was re-branded from Formula Fusion to Pacer in early 2019.”
Crysis Remastered (Sept. 18)
A remastered version of the fan favorite hits store shelves on September 18.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds (Sept. 18)
WWE is releasing a different take on wrestling games with this newest entry made to be more over the wall and zany than their usual games.

Dungreed (Sept. 24)
I’m a huge fan of Roguelite and Roguelike games and Dungreed looks like an interesting take on them, looking forward to trying this one.

Going Under (Sept. 24)
Another unique take on a Roguelite game Going Under takes place in an office setting rather than a dungeon and hits shelves on September 24.

You’ll wield office junk as weapons as you battle your way through the forsaken office complexes. Mafia: Definitive Edition (Sept. 25)
In my opinion the Mafia games don’t get the credit they deserve and hopefully this newest release will get it that respect, it hits shelves on September 25.

The Walking Dead Onslaught (September 29)
Releasing just in time for the show’s finale the new Walking Dead game is completely different from any other Walking Dead game we’ve seen on PS4 so far, especially seeing all of them have been Telltale games so far. this time it gives us a VR experience and hits shelves on September 29.

The first season of The Boys was pretty great in my opinion and they got to the action right away and kept it a steady pace throughout the entire 1st season. The end of the 1st season left off with Butcher(Karl Urban) finding out that his wife and Homelander(Anthony Starr) had a child together and he’s also framed for the murder of Stillwell(Elisabeth Shue), leaving fans wanting more and wondering where things were headed.
The Boys is probably the first time I’ve ever watched the show before reading the comics in regards to comic book adaptations but I am a huge fan of Garth Ennis so I did catch up on the comics in between seasons and seeing there are lots of differences I’m not totally worried about knowing everything that’s going to happen ahead of time.
The 2nd season starts off with Butcher being dropped and waking up in a parking lot in Fort Worth, Indiana and then switches over to Hughie and the rest of the boys to show what a dire situation they are in all while being the most wanted criminals in the country. Switching over to the Supers point of view the show then gives us a peak at a new recruit wanting to replace Lamplighter in the 7, Homlander’s interaction with this new recruit gives us a peak into the fact that he’s not hiding his psycho side quite as well anymore as he bursts the guy’s eardrums with no worries about what anyone thought about it, this season also introduces a power struggle of sorts between Homelander and the CEO of Vought International Stan Edgar, I actually really liked this and thought it added a system of checks and balances of sort for the supers.
The show also starts making a big deal of Super Terrorists or Super Villains but as far as I can remember they only introduced two of them and the first one gets killed by Noir Black like 5 seconds after he’s introduced. The other “Super Terrorist” we see is actually Kimiko’s little brother and the show starts making a pretty big deal of him, even hinting at one point that he’s the key to taking down Vought, about 5 seconds before the deputy director of the CIA’s head blows up right in front of Hughie and the boys but then he dies a few episodes later and I am still left wondering why they put such an importance on him, With only 3 episodes out so far I guess there could be more to this story.
We are also introduced to a new member of the 7 named Stormfront who has electricity based powers and plays the part of the cool edgy chick, except I thought it seemed a bit forced…sort of like when someone in high school tries to act cool for their friends and you can tell it’s not really how they are…the character is cool and all, I just don’t think the actress playing her is doing her justice but like I said only 3 episodes so far, perhaps she’s supposed to come across this way.
Overall I thought they moved the plot along nicely this season and that there were some really cool parts, like the whale part…you know you loved it too. I for one can’t wait to see more episodes, I actually have no clue if this was the complete 2nd season or if they have more episodes on the way but either way there is a 3rd season coming at some point and I can’t wait…I give it a solid 8 out of 10 and would suggest it to anyone…a great show!

With everyone’s favorite gaming TV channel making a comeback next year it was only logical to think they’d need new talent soon…We’ll all love the OG hosts of course but it’s been many years since G4 was around and they will obviously need some new younger talent. It’s not just a show it’s an entire station with 24 hours of programming to figure out , so it’s likely they’re looking for more than one person…anyways one of the more well known faces from the old days would be Adam Sessler and he posted a strange video to Twitter causing this job offering to trend…here’s the video:
The link in the post he made will lead you to a Reddit post with more info on the process for applying but a couple of the requirements are that you have to be 18 or older and a legal US resident…Click here to see the rest of the requirements.
The process is pretty simple though…They want quick 2 minute or less videos of you stating why you should be chosen, you can post these to Twitter ,Instagram or the Reddit post linked above and tag it with the hashtag #G4NeedsTalent. they also provide an email for submissions on the Reddit page.
So if you think you have what it takes to be a G4TV host then why not take your shot…can’t win if you don’t try right?
There has already been a huge flood of submissions on Twitter so If you want to stand a chance I’d say you better get right on top of it.

The front man for Twenty One Pilots Tyler Joseph isn’t someone you usually hear too much controversy about but he’s facing backlash today due to a tweet he made yesterday in which some people felt he was insensitive to the #BLM movement…I’ll show the tweet below but honestly in my opinion it’s a whole lot of fuss over nothing…he made a joke, it wasn’t racist or sexist…it was simply a play on the word platform and you can tell by reactions on Twitter that many people are angered …here’s the tweet:

As you can see he didn’t reference #blm and was simply making a joke about his crazy platform shoes…people need to chill the out these days and worry about stuff that actually matters…it’s clear he meant no ill will towards anyone with the tweet but people still seem pretty angered by it.
Of course as it always happens with cancel culture in full force these days he would surely have to issue an apology on social media…right? Not so much, although he did have a response, it was more explaining himself than apologizing and that set people off even more…He decided to use his platform to talk about suicide prevention rather than BLM and for that he faced further backlash.
Is Black Lives Matter important? yes, very much so but is it the only thing that matters? not even close, people, even celebrities, have a right to use their platform or not use it for whatever causes they see fit…we live in a society now where if someone donates money to a charity they still get grief for not donating enough…you will never make everyone happy so I’m glad he didn’t even try to…here’s some of his tweets:

Everyone is aware of Black Lives Matter, there are protests to remind anyone that forgets everyday…there is room for us to care about other things as well…he did nothing wrong here.
according to the world health organization: Close to 800,000 people die due to suicide every year, which is one person every 40 seconds.
according to American Foundation of Suicide Prevention: On average, there are 132 suicides per day.
But I guess those 800,000 people don’t matter because they aren’t part of the #BLM movement…I honestly don’t understand why people can’t care about both…it’s shameful to shame him for focusing on suicide prevention rather than the cause you want him to focus on…this is clearly what is important to him right now…so let him speak on it and help whoever he might be able to help.
As you can imagine with the world the way it is these days, people had lots of opinions and certainly weren’t going to keep them to themselves.
I, one (1) black dude on the internet, don’t actually care if you use your social media platform to speak up about BLM.
I was fine before it was a trend and I’ll be fine afterwards.

He made a joke about platform shoes and then used his platform to bring awareness to mental health issues…you hint at it in your tweet man….most people that “bring awareness” pretty much do it because it’s trendy..if the mental health stuff is what’s on his mind right now, why should he force a #blm tweet just to appease the masses?
my tweet wasn’t suppose to be about human rights. so in case you are wondering where i stand: Black Lives Matter. i just wanted to take a moment to raise awareness about something else that has meant a lot to me for a long time. but now I see there is no room for that right now.
Exactly, he wasn’t joking about not using his platform for #blm, he was joking about not using it for any issues at all…then he used it to bring attention to an issue he is clearly dealing with in his life right now…I don’t understand the anger, I really don’t…
As someone who has suffered from Bipolar Disorder for 25 years I find it incredibly disheartening to see that people like myself can’t reach out for help or speak on our issues without being accused of not caring about other issues…it’s sad to see so many people clearly take the stance that people like me and our issues just aren’t as important as BLM…I think there’s room to care about both but hey, maybe that’s just me. It’s hard enough for people dealing with mental health issues to reach out for help, certainly doesn’t make it any easier to see a celebrity attacked for it.
